A call I received at 9pm from a young man in Blue Mountain threw me off my TV chair. The guy was locked out of his Honda Civic in a very cold night, when the temperatures were sub-zero and he had no way to enter his car. Apparently he lost his keys somewhere along the slopes of the ski resort, with no chance of finding them.

Although I’m located in Vaughan, I accepted the challenge. The drive took me almost 90 minutes but when I arrived at the parking lot at Blue Mountain, I quickly found the stranded car. In less than 30 minutes I managed to open the door, replicate the appropriate key and program a new remote.

The guy was so pleased to be able to leave the place in his own car and head home, instead of paying for a night in the resort.
