The Varieties Available for Keyless Entry Locks

Technology has taken over throughout the last several years—especially with the new security solutions for residential and commercial suites.

Many people have just recently become familiar with the key-less entry locks that are opened using a keypad with a code. These systems are also usually equipped with a key override. This means, should you ever forget your code or if you wanted another person to enter and not have your personal code, the door can also be opened using a key.

As time has gone forward, technology has advanced. Now there are high security locks that are available to the public at reasonable costs. For example: Radio Frequency locks, which are locks that are opened using a card or remote that is able to unlock the door from a certain proximity range. Another example is the Bluetooth lock. These locks are opened using apps installed on your cell phone. Both of the above locks usually are equipped with a key override as an emergency. The final type of key-less entry lock we will mention, as seen on many movies, is the biometric locks.  Biometric locks are meant to allow entry to only those whose fingerprints have been programmed into the system. We know—cool.

Whether you like the newer key-less entry locks, or prefer to stick to the originals, you must admit they’ve come a long way. Although many people are hesitant towards trying these new locks, especially businesses, we would love to have the opportunity to discuss the pros and cons with you to see which type of lock will better secure your space.
